Prohibited Marriage
A prohibited marriage is a marriage not allowed by Virginia law, including marriages that are bigamous, between too closely-related blood or adoptive relatives, or involving underage parties without proper parental consent. Same-sex marriages are currently legal in the state of Virginia.
